Routines for submitting applications for visas and residence permits

Last updated: 25/09/2009 // It is now possible to register applications for visas and residence permits online.

All applicants should register their application online. To learn more about applying online please see the information here: How to apply online.

After registering the application online at Application portal Norway (ApN) it is mandatory to submit the signed receipt for applying online and the supporting documents to the Embassy via the offices of Gerry's International. This is the same for both visa applications and applications for residence permits.

Please read more about the requirements for visas and residence permits in the different articles on our website here.

Gerry’s International offers drop box services from Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Quetta and Hyderabad. Any of these may be used. For more information please see www.visadropbox.com. No prior appointment is needed at Gerry's International.

If, for some reason, it is not possible to register the application online, the fee must be paid to the Embassy's bank account no. 02941-20 before approaching Gerry's International. A deposit slip must be collected before submitting the application, and the receipt of the deposit slip must be presented to them when the application is submitted.
The bank's address is:
HABIB BANK LIMITED,
School Road, Near Shell Gas Station,
Super Market, F-6,
Islamabad.

Account Name: Embassy of Norway Account Number: 1353-00294120-03

Habib Bank allows for online services, and the Embassy therefore recommend that you contact your local branch in order to pay the requested fee there.

An overview of the fees the Embassy charges can be found on the Embassy's webpage:
- Fee for visa applications
- Fee for residence permits

Kindly note that Gerry´s International will charge a service fee of 18 Euro, which is common for all Schengen countries which currently are using Gerry´s International. This fee comes in addition to the Embassy's handling fee.

You should not pay any extra fees for the documents etc.

The cases with all additional documentation will be forwarded to the Embassy who will process the applications.

Processing time: Due to the current situation it is likely that the processing time will increase compared the normal estimated processing time. For the time being it is difficult to stipulate the prolongement. However, the Embassy reassures that we within the current limitations wish to provide the best possible service to our users.

Visa endorsement: Applicants will receive passports and decisions from the Embassy through Gerry’s FedEx. Applicants who are granted a Schengen visa or a work or residence permit by either the Directorate of Immigration or the Immigration appeals Board will be contacted by the Embassy and asked to submit the necessary documents for endorsement through Gerry’s FedEx.
