Register your application online.
Pakistani and Afghan citizens applying for visas or residence permits should register their applications online via the Application portal Norway site at https://selfservice.udi.no.
This means that all the information you as an applicant would have to write down on the application form you can now register and store at the Application portal Norway (ApN) site. It does not matter who registers the application and all that is required is that the person who registers the application has a functioning e-mail address and a Visa or Master Card.
When registering your first application online you will have to give the same information as in the paper application form, however, you will save a lot of time when registering future applications. This is because all the information necessary will be stored in your user account.
How to apply via Application portal Norway (ApN)?
1. You register your information at https://selfservice.udi.no. Here you also pay the application fee using your Visa or Master Card.
The Embassy has asked Gerry's International to assist applicants in registering online, but it is voluntary to use this extra service.
2. You print your receipt from the ApN site showing that you have registered your application online.
3. You prepare all the required documents in duplicate.
Please be advised that it is a requirement that all documents are submitted in original with a complete set of copies in the A4 format. The copies will have to be of very good quality with no staples, paper clips or glue as they will be scanned by the Embassy.
4. You then approach one of Gerry’s International’s ten offices in Pakistan to file your application. You do not need a prior appointment. Remember to bring the printed receipt from ApN. Information about where Gerry’s International is located and their office hours can be found here: www.visadropbox.com
Gerry’s International will go through the application to check that all required documents are submitted. They will also charge a service fee of €18.
5. You now just have to wait for the Embassy to contact you with the decision. This will normally take a minimum of two weeks from you filed your application for visas. For residence permits the processing time is longer as they are handled by the Directorate of Immigration in Norway. For information about their average processing times see: http://www.udi.no/Norwegian-Directorate-of-Immigration/Oversiktsider/Case-processing-times/
6. If you are granted a visa and the photos, travel insurance and passport submitted with the application are satisfactory, we will return the stamped passport to you via Gerry’s International.
If you are granted a visa and there are shortcomings with either your passport, photos or the travel insurance we will contact you as soon as possible so that you can correct this.
If your application is rejected we will send the decision to you via Gerry’s International with information about the right to appeal and how to appeal.
The Embassy will as far as possible give priority to applicants who register their applications online.
