How do I apply for a visa?

Last updated: 30/11/2010 // Routines for applying

We ask that all applicants use the Application Portal Norway at https://selfservice.udi.no/ to register the information regarding the application.

If you do not feel comfortable with computers or the internet your sponsor in Norway can easily register your application and pay the relevant application fee for you.

For more information about how to use Application Portal Norway see here

After registering the application online, or after filling in the application form on paper, you must submit the application for visa or residence permit at the offices of Gerry's FedEx. This includes family reunification applications. No prior appointment is required by Gerry’s FedEx.

Gerry’s FedEx offers drop box services from Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Quetta and Hyderabad. Any of these may be used. For more information please see www.visadropbox.com.

It is mandatory for applicants to submit their applications in person at the drop box centers around Pakistan. If you register your application online your fee will have to be paid on the completion of the registration with your Visa- or Master Card. If you still choose to apply with a paper application form you must pay the fee to the Embassy's bank account No. 02941-20 (Habib Bank Ltd.). A deposit slip must be collected before submitting the application at Gerry’s FedEx, and the receipt of the deposit slip must be presented to them when the application is submitted. Please note that Gerry's FedEx also charges an additional fee equal to €18 for each shipment to the Embassy.

The Embassy will give priority to cases that are registered online. If the case is registered online the chances that the Embassy will have to contact you to collect information missing in the application form will be reduced and your case will be processed faster.

After receiving an application the Embassy or the Directorate of Immigration in Norway will consider if it is necessary to call the applicant for an interview.

For more information please look around at the embassy's web-pages at www.norway.org.pk/embassy/visa  or the Directorate of Immigration at www.udi.no
