Pakistani and Afghan citizens who wish to apply for a visa or residence permit at the Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad can now register applications and pay the fee online.

We highly recommend that applicants register their application online, or ask the sponsor in Norway to register it.
There are several benefits to applying online:
- If you apply online you or your sponsor can apply from anywhere at any time
- If you apply online the registration is only done once. For subsequent applications, all the text boxes are already filled in. It is only necessary to fill in new information such as travel dates, etc.
- If you apply online payment is done quick and easy by Visa or MasterCard on the Portal (if you don’t have Visa or MasterCard it is possible to save the application and let the sponsor finish the payment)
- If you apply online your case will be given priority and you can expect a shorter case processing time
- If you apply online you can receive status updates and notification of decision by SMS and e-mail
