The Embassy charges a fee for processing the different applications. The fee is in Norwegian Kroner, and fee in Pakistani Rupees will therefore vary according to exchange rates. The exchange rates have been updated with effect from June 1st 2008.
28/05/2008 :: A fee must be paid when (or before) applying for a work, settlement, family reunion and residence permit.
The fee for settlement permit is NOK 1.600,- which is equal to approx. 21.000,- rupees.
The fee for residence permit- family reunion is NOK 3.000,- which is equal to approx. 39.300,- rupees.
The fee for residence and work permit is NOK 1.100,- which is equal to approx. 14.400,- rupees.
How much the fee is in rupees vary according to the present exchange rate, and the embassy may therefore change the sum in rupees without prior notice.
The fee cannot be paid after applying.
The fee must be paid both by persons applying for a first-time work and residence permit and for those applying for renewal of such permit.
The following groups are exempted from paying the fee:
- Children below the age of 18
- Applications from persons included in the EEA-agreement or EFTA-convention
- Application for refuge or renewal of permit for foreign citizen that has been granted refuge, or is protected according to the Immigration Act Section 15, paragraph 1).
The fee must be paid to the Embassy's bank account no. 02941-20. A deposit slip must be collected from the Embassy before applying, and the receipt of the deposit slip must be presented to the Embassy when the application is submitted.
